Starting another chapter in life

I got accepted into SIT TUM for BSc Chemical Engineering! So to update, on how I got to this point, I went for an interview at SIT@SP around March. When I was having a group interview with 3 other people, and 2 interviewers, I felt that the other students were better than me when they were talking about their experiences and their CCAs. After the interview ended, I was worried that maybe they would not accept me to be in their school since I felt that the other students were obviously better than me. My parents reassured me that if I am meant to be in this school, I will be accepted and that I have nothing to worry about. So, I waited for the results patiently... since that was the only thing that I could do ...

When the result came out, I was freaking happy that I got accepted!!! I couldn't believe at first but I was grateful! I felt like screaming my lungs out but I was outside at that point in time at a stationary store... hahaha! Then, I had to the necessary things that had to be done. For example, like uploading documents for financial assistance, subsidy, accepting the offer and all other important things.

Other than that, there was an orientation that I had to go.... one was the SIT camp orientation. the other one was TUM orientation. I thought that both of the orientation was important but.... NO!!! the SIT camp orientation was held at SIT Dover and most of the students there were from Allied Health courses: nursing, physiotherapy, radiography and much more... It was also a 2 day 1-night orientation, so I had to stay overnight at school... But in the end, I came up with an emergency excuse so that I don't have to stay overnight and not come the next day also.  The food was very nice which was unexpected since camp food is usually bad. Surprisingly, the food was good. We ate pasta mania for lunch and dinner was rice, salmon, vegetables, sausage and mashed potatoes. We even got a mini garrette popcorn. :) But I did try to enjoy the games as much as I can. I was having a bloated stomach the whole day so I had to bear the pain all the way from morning to night time which was unpleasant since we played the games outdoor so it was pretty hot plus there were wet games so I got wet and my clothes too. the orientation was on 22 July 2017 which falls on a Saturday....

Then for my TUM orientation, it was just yesterday, 28 July 2017. At least it wasn't on a weekend which was good. The food was alright, could've been better. Other than that, we had some activities planned out for us. So we played some games after lunch around 1 pm till around 4 pm. There were pretty much a lot of girls in my course. The EEIT course has mostly guys with a few girls. The seniors also kept saying that EEIT is very hard if compared to CE. But if we were to compare CE other courses like business, it's also bad... The professors also kept saying that it's going to be tough but we also have to put in an effort to study hard and also play hard so that we have a balance in life. But it is expected to not have a social life and we will not meet our family as much now since we will be in school almost the whole day so we will be spending a whole lot of our time in school with our friends. So we will see our friends faces more than our parents.

Our school starts on 1 August which is this coming Tuesday. I'm nervous to start school. But I am sure I can do this!! I have to work together with my friends as a team!!!
